Each person has a unique set created only for them

Twins share DNA yet have distinctive finger prints

Many are very similar

But no two sets are identical

They are used to identify

They help to gain access to secure buildings

They can both condemn the guilty

And free the innocent

We leave them every where we go

On the handle of the door at work

On the knocker of a friend’s front door

On the things we touch both by intent and by accident

They can cause a person to bristle

When we leave a bruise underneath

Or they can cause a heart to melt

When we touch someone with love

The most precious and cherished finger prints

Are the ones we leave behind

On the hearts of our loved ones
