They are what connects continents
giving equal access to people on both sides.
They are built on common ground
at the beginning of a relationship.
Still more are built
over troubled water
They are what keeps us connected
when our location changes
We maintain them with love
to keep them strong.
As much as they can be burned
they can also be worn out.
They are all over the world
aptly named for their geography.
Some are large enough to span a straight
others are smaller to span a creek.
Each of them is unique
as designed by their architect.
They are the link to our past
and the start of our tomorrows.
Without them we would each be an island unto ourselves.
